About Me

I am a doctor of the AHF Healthcare Center: Carl Bean. The field of HIV has evolved tremendously, making it an exciting time to be a part of how we approach HIV prevention, treatment, patient care, and services. Before joining AHF, I had the opportunity to work as a medical student at a busy, urban LGBTQ/STI center in Toronto, Canada. This experience provided me with a wealth of knowledge. It allowed me to learn about the risk factors associated with HIV that connect to the social determinants of health (income, education, discrimination). Also, my experience and residency training at the University of Louisville prepared me for the clinical aspect of care within our HIV and at-risk communities. It is my goal to share these skills with the patients of AHF. As a family medicine trained physician, I also provide care in transgender hormone therapy, hepatitis C management, women's health (pap, birth control, Nexplanon, IUD), and joint injections.

I'm very passionate about playing tennis. Having played competitively with a UTR (Universal Tennis Rating) of 4-4.5, you will find me on the tennis courts if I'm not at work. I love trying different California cuisines, reading good fiction novels on a Friday night, or spending time with family and friends.
