About Me

I am a provider of the AHF Healthcare Centers: Cleveland. I chose to practice HIV medicine, because I've made personal and professional connections with those living with HIV. I love this patient population and the relationships that are formed when you get to know someone on a regular basis. I respect being able to learn individuals' stories, while providing a safe space for the ups and downs of life this diagnosis offers. Also, I really appreciate the team model of AHF and other organizations that serve those living with HIV. We are realistic about treating the whole person and know it takes people from all different backgrounds to help patients attain their health goals. I achieved my first Masters in Public Health after earning my Nursing degree. I believe both have taught me to be an excellent listener and to take a step back to see the community as a whole. In addition to serving as a part-time educator of Community Health, I am also diligent in the pursuit to earn my DNP. This will enable me to travel overseas to the Philippines as a part of my quality improvement project. 

Fun Fact: I have no true hometown. I was a military kid and grew up all over Germany and Hawaii; two of my favorite destinations. In college, I studied Mandarin in China. Though I considered living there after graduating, instead, I accepted the opportunity to work in refugee health in Lakewood and I soon discovered that I really like the diversity of where I live now.
