About Me

I am a provider of the AHF Healthcare Center: Biscayne. I realized that working with HIV/STDs was one of my passions in 2015 while completing an internship at an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) in my home country of Cuba. During this internship, I had the opportunity to assist HIV patients in obtaining available resources.

Determined to find a better future for myself and my family, I moved to the U.S. where I continued to follow my goal to work in the HIV/STDs field and serve affected and at-risk populations. I graduated from the RN program while working for the HIV/STD division of the Florida Department of Health as a Disease Intervention Specialist. Undoubtedly, this experience enhanced my knowledge and skills to understand HIV better. But, more importantly, I gained an unwavering sense of empathy for our patients.

I started working for AHF as a Medical Case Manager in 2021, and I must confess, I am thrilled I took this route. I have the pleasure of seeing AHF's core values in action every day. During the height of the pandemic, I joined the fight against COVID-19, working as an RN in emergency COVID locations throughout our community. At the same time, I continued my education and earned an MSN-FNP degree. I know all of these factors have enriched my clinical experience.

Fun Fact: My favorite hobbies are reading, going to the movies, and weightlifting, which helps me to relax after work. Also, I enjoy traveling and visiting with family and friends. I also am very passionate about politics and economics.
